There’s something special about being in a room where creativity, culture, and authenticity collide—and that’s exactly what happened at Je’Caryous Johnson’s exclusive Media Mixer at KISS Restaurant in Houston.

Set inside the VIP room, the atmosphere was dark, moody, and intimate—the perfect backdrop for meaningful conversations and soulful vibes. As Chae Stephen (Marvin Gaye) serenaded the room, guests were transported into a space that felt more like a private listening session than a typical media event. It was personal. And it was intentional.

The evening created space for real dialogue with Je’Caryous & Chae. Je’Caryous opened up about his journey, his artistry, and the moments that shaped him. One standout story took us all the way back to his high school days—when classmates would ask him to write letters to their girlfriends whenever their relationships hit rough patches.

With a laugh, he shared that he had a “100% success rate.”

And honestly? We believe it.

It was clear that Je’Caryous has always been a romantic wordsmith—someone who understands emotion, storytelling, and connection. That same gift now fuels his work on stage, including his latest production:

“The Greatest Love Singer of All Time” Tribute Show, honoring three legends—Luther Vandross, Teddy Pendergrass, and Marvin Gaye.

But the night wasn’t just about music and nostalgia.

Je’Caryous also gave guests an exclusive look into what’s next.

One of the most exciting reveals was Black Utopia, a massive real estate and property development project currently underway. Imagine Martha’s Vineyard meets Wakanda—a visionary space centered on Black excellence, ownership, culture, and legacy. It’s not just about buildings. It’s about redefining what success looks like at its highest level.

And just when we thought the night couldn’t get any better…

He casually dropped that one of our all-time favorite movies is currently in development for the stage.

We can’t say which one (because we don’t know if we’re supposed to), but trust us—when it hits, we’ll be front row.

Sho’ nuff.
